TAG THURSDAY #5

Hi! I thought I'd take a little break from beauty and fashion and talk about something a little bit different. This tag is based on a topic I don't usually talk about and that is first dates. So lets get started...

1. How long does it take you to get ready?
It would usually take me at least 40 minutes however if I need a shower then it would take 30 minutes extra. This gives me 10 minutes to ponder about standing in the mirror wondering what look I want to go for.

2. What's your idea of a perfect first date? Dinner, drinks, cinema or adventure?
I think a mix of dinner and drinks. My perfect date would be adventurous however for a first date you just want to sit down and get to know them. If you were to go on an adventurous date first, it may be too late when you find out he's not really an active guy :/

3. What would you gravitate more towards to wear on a date? Jeans, trousers, skirt or dress?
I would personally wear a dress because I like to be girly and flirty when with a guy. I think a dress is perfect for that as it shows skin and is naturally girly.

4. Which makeup look would you wear? Girl next door, Smokey & Sexy, Bold lip or Bright's?
Girl next door. I think neutral makeup looks better on everyone and it goes well with a girly dress. Plus for a first date I would like the guy to see me all natural because if it moves forward he's going to have to wake up to that everyday. 

5. Your date says you have 30 minutes to get ready, what do you do? 
If I'm ready and just need to touch up I'd go however if I'm no where near ready, I wont go because I don't want him thinking I'm always free. I want him to believe I have a busy life, this way it leaves more mystery to you.

6. Your date asks for the bill, do you... 
A. Offer to pay (With actual intention) 
B. Make a fuss with no meaning to pay 
C. Expect him to pay right a way

I would rather pay for my own food. I had my food, he had his so why not pay for are own.

7. Its time to say goodbye, you really like your date. Do you...
A. Wave
B. Hug
C. Kiss on the cheek
D. Peck
E. Full on smooch

I would kiss on the cheek and then instantly turn and walk away. I think it leaves more mystery to you and leaves him wanting more, like a second date for example.

Yes I must admit, there was a little fashion and beauty talk but I just can't help myself!

PICTURE JOURNAL: FESTIVAL & STARBUCKS!

Hi! What a day? The high's were high and the low's were low. After only 5 hours of sleep, I was dragged out of bed and rushed through an important process I call 'Doing my makeup'.

And boy did that turn out great! *She says sarcastically*. 

I was going into town to return a few items, and decided to get a Starbucks drink. I've been craving white hot chocolate ever since Christmas but couldn't find it anywhere. So when Starbucks said they had them, you could probably imagine the burst of excitement I had. 

Later on that day, I received an invite to a festival held in Gosport every year that I could not decline. I love festivals! Mostly because there's no limit for fashion, but also because of their love for big chairs, music, celebrity's, photo booths and drinks. 
I was not prepared, money-wise but I was prepared weather-wise. I didn't think id be spending much but when I saw the photo booth that lead to some money damage! Sadly, as we walked into the festival, all are food and drinks were confiscated so slushies' were necessary. 
After dancing along to a few bands, M.A.D came on with their hit 'Fame & TV'. And trust me when I say ALL the girls came running! Although I'm not one to go crazy over celebs, I couldn't miss a picture opportunity with one of the band members. But of course something had to calm us all down, so why not the rain? I didn't feel like squeezing under a tent with tons of others so as soon as I got that raincoat I was off out dancing in the rain.
As much I was having fun, it couldn't compare to buckets of rain coming down so we had to leave.

HAPPY WASHING!

Hi! Hope your all well? There comes a point when we all need to wash are makeup brushes. Doesn't matter what brush it is they always need to be washed. If you don't then your makeup will look all cakey and trust me, you don't want that. 

Most beauty bloggers use make-up remover however I just simply use makeup wipes. We all have them, if not then I recommend getting some as they are a cheap and fast way of removing makeup. My favourite makeup wipes to use are the Yes to cucumber, I think instead of wasting 5 minutes in the morning to put cucumbers on your eyes why not use these wipes that have the same effect only in seconds. They reduce the bagginess around the eyes and stop any redness to make your skin look freshly washed.  
Anyway your probably wondering how I wash my makeup brushes with only one or two makeup wipes? Its just three simple steps and only takes seconds...

Hold the makeup wipe flat in the palm of your hand, but make sure that its not going to move.

Swirl the makeup brush into your palm on top of the make wipe repeatedly until the makeup wipe is covered in makeup and the brush is clean.

 

Before repeating this step with other brushes, turn over the wipes so that the clean side is facing up. And viola, you have clean brushes.






I wouldn't recommend washing makeup sponges this way, I just use some water with a little bit of shampoo and viola, you have a clean sponge.
This way your not buying something extra just to wash your brushes, your just simply using some house beauty essentials without ruining them.
