June Glossybox Review...

I recently received my June Glossybox and I was surprised by the range of countries the products came from! Some products were from Russia and some where from China. I'm geussing it has something to do with football?!...I don't know!
Every month I get excited to see what's in that months glossybox and this months Definatly had some products worth getting excited about.

One of the first products I got was a 3-in-1 base/topcoat & nail strengthener from nailgirls. This company is a new launch and judging by this amazing product, I'm excited to check it out. I'm so happy with this product and even better I saved a minimum of £10 by getting it through glossybox.

Another product I got was a Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush from nelly.com. This brush is perfect for applying eyeshadow and is the perfect essential for all beauty kits.

The next product I was very happy with!! It's the Embelleze Novex Brazilian Keratin hair food. This product worked wonders on my hair, leaving it nice and shiny. The only downside is that all the packaging is in Brazilian, so I could understand a thing however glossybox made sure to write down the application directions on the product list that comes with it so I knew how to use it. You can purchase this at beautybyzara.com but make sure you know how to use it and how long for first.

In this box I also received a So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad, which I was very pleased with because it comes with all different shades which is great if you love contouring (I know I do!). The lightest one I use as a highlighter and the darkest one as a contour for my cheeks. The other two colours are fair but one has pink undertones (perfect for hiding redness) and the other had yellow undertones (which I use to hide my dark spots). I recommend getting this at sosusan.com however It is €20 but totally worth it.

Last but not least, I got the Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraiche Fragrance from the French heritage brand, Roger&Gallet. This scent is perfect for summer with its fruit-floral and fig inspired scent which allows your 'scenes to take a break reminiscent of a walk through a Mediterranean garden'.

Glossybox is defiantly worth paying the £10 for each box as you are saving a minimum of £50 anyway. Next months July box is based on Independance day and the box itself looks really good with the American Flag as the design.

Summer Essentials!

Summer has finally arrived!!

Take off all those layers and strip down to your bikini because summer is here (That includes makeup). Even though I am a huge fan of the dark nail polishes and Smokey eyes as well as layering clothing, it is time to invite colour back into your life.

1. Start preparing for summer by changing your beauty routine for example instead of wearing layers of foundation try using a BB Cream as it has light coverage with a nice glow and just encase some SPF too. I recently got the Garnier Skin Naturals BB Cream in my latest monthly glossybox and I have been loving it!! Its so light to put on and it never goes cakey. It is too dark for me but thank god it doesn't make me look orange or give me lines, it actually gives me a natural glowing tan. Another thing you could do is use liquid blushers and highlighters. Im using Me Me Me Beat the Blues highlighter and Posie Tint blusher by Benefit and they give me the nicest looking skin, I really recommend purchasing these. Its not to much so its perfect for summer as it gives you the Natural Beachy skin.

2. Instead of using matte lipsticks try using a tinted lip balm. Lip balms are very beneficial for your lips as they leave them feeling moisturized and they are a great way off protecting your lips from the suns harmful rays.

3. Make up isn't the only thing you can change! Instead of using harmful Curling irons try using a good Salt Spray. I recently bought my 3rd bottle of the Tony and Guy Texturizing Salt Spray because its that good :) I am in love with this stuff...seriously.

4. I realised during the winter I used body washes that all had a nutty scent. For example I used the Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub due to the maple syrup scent that it had going on during the winter and I have now decided to swap to the Soap & Glory (I love their products) Orangeasm body wash because of its bouncy orange scent. If you feel like going all the way try pairing it with the orangeasm body lotion for the extra umph. Not only does this make you smell good in summer but also helps you to get into the summer mood of going out more often.

5. Last but not least, Nail polish is a huge statement piece during the seasons and summer is all about the Bright Colours. I'm Currently wearing white (because I am going through the black & white stage in life) but I use my rings to make my hands look more summery if I decide to take an instagram photo (@SkylarLivell). You'll notice that your bag essentials will change as well and I will be doing a blog on that soon, so check it out when its up :)

Lush, Instagram & Iced Caramel Lattes...

Everyone has a secret obsession!!

Lush, Instagram & Iced Caramel Lattes...These are my HUGE obsessions. My instagram @SkylarLivell (follow me!) is mostly recognised for tons and tons of pictures of Bath bombs and Starbucks.

Do you ever get annoyed when you go shopping with your mum and you spend hundreds but she spends nothing? I do. I used to hate taking my mum shopping but only because id feel bad when she's comes home empty handed. Noticed how I said 'Used to'? Ever since taking my mum into Lush I have been spending less money then she does. I see that as a good thing!

My mum is absolutely in love with lush, probably more than me! When she goes in lush she sees bath bombs that will turn the colour of her water blue, red or any other colour. However when I walk into Lush I usually go for the bombs that are more nourishing on my skin.

Encase you don't know how a bath bomb works, you just drop it in the bath and watch it fizz. The ingredients used by lush are all natural and so are good for the skin. Once you hop into your bath you feel so calm and refreshed...Its hard to get back out.

I recently tried the 'Sex Bomb Bath Bomb' and as soon as I got out the bath my skin felt so soft thanks to the aphrodisiac jasmine absolute and softening soya milk. And not only did it feel soft then but it still feels soft now (3 days later). Not only did it make my skin feel soft but it turned my bath a luxurious baby pink colour. This has been my favourite bath bomb since :)

Overall I recommend visiting lush but if your a lush virgin watch out for the overpowering smell as you walk in...you get used to it after a few visits. Personally I love the smell however my mother doesn't :)
